Rachel Updegraft is from Charlotte, North Carolina and is currently based in the Upstate South Carolina area. She is a graduate of the South Carolina School of the Arts at Anderson University as of May 2025, with her Bachelor of the Arts degree in Art: Painting and Drawing and Minor in Art History.

Her primary mediums include pastels, oil paint, acrylic gouache, and other traditional media for

painting and drawing as well as printmaking.

 

Moving forward, she is pursuing candidacy of Masters of the Fine Arts in Studio Art at Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina to enter a career in higher education.

 

Recently, she has been a featured artist in the 2025 publication of Ivy Leaves, an Anderson University student publication of art and writing.
